Kuoda was started as a result of an inspiration on the part of our director, Mery Calderon, who had one day noticed a large group of tourists being steered onto a bus, some of them with rather frustrated and tired looks on their faces. She realized that there was a real need for a customer-oriented company that provides travellers with personal attention and treats them like individuals, rather than numbers. She saw that a small, dedicated staff could get to know clients, and provide customized, flexible services rather than pre-packaged, generic programs. Flexibility means that rather than stopping in destinations for 15 minutes to take photos and rushing on to the next attraction, our clients determine how long they want to stop in each location. Because most of our tours are in private, we can proudly say that we are a customer-focused, rather than a business-focused company. Our clients’ happiness is our bottom line.
Preparing an itinerary with Kuoda is a participatory process. You help us by defining where you want to go and what you want to do, and we set about creating your journey, designed to your preferences. The programs vary in length according to travellers’ needs. Some have lasted for nearly a month. Families seek us out for our ability to create flexible special interest and adventure programs that cater to the desires of every family member. Since no two of our customers are alike, no two of our programs are alike either.
